Media Requests & Usage

Concert Archives is a community-driven platform where users share their photos and videos from concerts they've attended. Because the content on our site is user-generated, Concert Archives does not own the rights to these images and videos. Typically, the original uploader retains ownership and rights to their media.

If you're interested in using photos or videos found on Concert Archives, you'll need to obtain permission directly from the original uploader.

Requesting Media Directly From Users

If you already know which photos or videos you'd like to use, the best way to get permission is to reach out directly to the uploader.

Each photo and video on Concert Archives includes a "Request to Use" button which allows you to send a message to the person who uploaded the content. If they're interested, they can reply to you directly to discuss usage and permissions.

This is the fastest and most direct way to request permission to use specific content.

For Filmmakers, Authors, & Large Projects

We deeply appreciate the journalists, filmmakers, authors, and other media professionals who tell the stories of beloved artists and unforgettable memories. We are happy to assist with your projects by facilitating connections with our community when possible.

If you're working on a larger project, such as a documentary or book, and need help sourcing content from multiple users or don't know exactly what you're looking for, we may be able to help bridge the gap.

On a case-by-case basis, we can:

  • Contact specific uploaders on your behalf to inquire about media usage and potentially connect you with them.
  • Send targeted emails to our community to solicit additional relevant photos and videos for your project.
